Bullied because of head lice.

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Here is a very recent exchange of e-mails with another visitor who has been helped even before becoming a customer.

Dear John,

I have read about your products online and will definitely be ordering them on Friday (gotta love payday). My husband and I have been battling lice for over 2 years with our children.

Our twins were born at only 24 weeks and are more frail than most other children their age. I have to be extremely careful with what I use because of their lungs.

In Kindergarten, they managed to get lice and honestly, I don’t think I have ever really gotten rid of them.

We have replaced everything of theirs, we have used every product over the counter as well as doctor prescribed.

They were teased constantly to the point of being sick every time they went back to school. On the bus they were teased as well.

This year, it started again. It went through all of first grade and they were infested again. By the end of November, we pulled them out of school and have begun home-schooling our girls. They have been so much happier at home. To the point of asking,” You mean we won’t have to sit in each other’s laps anymore?” None of the kids would let them sit next to them.

I can’t wait to try your product but if you have anymore advice, please let me know. I have fought for two years to get rid of this and it seems to just get worse. My two year old has it now also. Can I use this on her as well?

Thank you again for listening and offering any advice you have time to give me. It is greatly appreciated.

Hi C*******

Thank you for your message and your story.

I wish it were true that your story was unusual but it isn’t, we have heard it many times but don’t let that dismay you. You will get this sorted out and you will also look back and see the steps you took that were just a little bit off the right path. Trouble is just a few steps off at the start of a journey means you end up a whole long way off at the end!

I hope you have read the 7 Huge Head Lice Myths because within those you will find a lot of resonances with your own situation and also the answers. Read especially

From what you have told me a few things stand out.

1 Your children didn’t cause their head lice (or anyone else’s), everyone catches head lice from someone else so we are all the receivers before we were ever the cause! Head lice are 100% natural result of healthy happy children socialising well in school. Nothing else….EVER.

Normal, normal, normal. But yucky too. So nobody ever needs to isolate, blame, accuse, isolate or punish a child because of head lice. Do they ever do that if a child catches a cold?

OK, that really gets me going doesn’t it!

Now, why has it been tough going for you?

Well, stop all that cleaning the house and clothes because of head lice. It is wasted effort because they aren’t in your house and clothes and every minute you spend doing that is a minute you didn’t spend on the real problem.

We sell all over the world and believe me nobody but nobody outside the USA does that cleaning and bagging toys.

And you know what?

They clear up their children’s head lice just the same. Amazing!

Continuous bouts of head lice a few weeks apart aren’t new cases. Nobody can be that unlucky! Really they can’t. It is a simple sign that you got the numbers of lice or eggs down to nearly zero and then it took 2-3 weeks for those few to become many and for you to wonder where the blazes they come from.

Simple arithmetic says

-7 days for an egg or two to hatch.

-7 more days to reach breeding maturity. (Still only a louse or two to be found)

-7 more days for the second crop of eggs to start hatching at the rate of 8-10 a day

Boom! Suddenly there seem to be lots and lots of head lice when there weren’t any a few days ago!

If you are stuck in a pattern of 2-3 weeks cycles of head lice this is your answer.

Nothing to do with mutant or resistant head lice or not doing your job as a Mom. I bet you were so close every time!

You just missed one or two tiny eggs or baby lice. These would have been the size of a grain of sand and well hidden so don’t be hard on yourself, after all if you were washing 10 loads of bedding and bagging up the toys no wonder you missed “one or two grains of sand”!

See how it happens?

We help families clear their child’s hair of everything that doesn’t belong there in a gently safe way so they can just repeat this process until they have caught every last little critter.

Doesn’t matter if they miss the odd louse because they will get it the next time as it grows bigger or pops out of it’s safe little egg case. Our method doesn’t rely on a medication zapping every louse and egg to succeed.

Once you have the children clear of head lice use the prevention spray to make their hair less ideal for any new visitors that they come into contact with once they start to socialise again.

I hope this helps you and your family.

Regards

John Owen

P.S.

I may publish this exchange in out Blog to help others understand their problems but I will remove any personal detail first, is that OK with you guys? ( Lovely person said yes so we can now share it with you!)
