Added benefit of natual head lice treatment

Monday, November 26th, 2007

A question from our post bag.

“My first purchase was about 4 years ago. I’ll never forget how your company eased my mind during what felt like a “living heck” as i navigated through lice in our household. I have passed along your wisdom and products to neighbors as well.

I have a question. I love the “nitmix oil” I think this is what is called the combing agent. I like rub it into my scalp to help ease the dryness of my eczsama (sp?) Is this safe to do this? I have assumed that it was safe since the product is all natural.

Thank you,
Evie “

The natural Sweet Almond base oil in NITMIX Wet Combing Aid will be fine on eczema. The slight softening effect may relieve some of the itchiness you experience and help lift dead skin cells away. There would be no medical benefit as such but the mild relief you are getting is not uncommon.

Head lice cure that rejuvenates hair too!

I love days wen we get a message like this one.

“I just wanted to let you know that we like your product so far.  Your voice was the only one online that spoke to the dangers of putting pesticides on the human scalp.  You also were the only voice online of reason regarding the inanity of over-cleaning home surfaces on which lice could not actually live.

An interesting side benefit of your product:  I (mom) had to use it because I caught them too from my daughter.  Your oil had a very nourishing effect on my hair.  I left it in (after combing) overnight and shampoo’d the next morning.  I was pleasantly surprised to discover it gave a beautiful lustre to my ‘older’ locks.

Just letting you know.

Head lice treatment, a cry for help

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Here is message from a fairly typical client.

Please help me I found head lice in my daughters
hair on friday evening and had to treat her hair
with Lyclear.

I then ordered a couple of items from you on
saturday and received them this morning with
thanks. I then went to check her hair this
evening and low and behold there were more
lice in her hair and once again I only had Lyclear
to treat her hair.

We have very sensitive skin and the poor little
girls scalp is red raw and I dont know what to do.

I feel terrible for putting her through this pain
and causing her so much discomfort. I also feel
terrible that I didn’t manage to get them all which
I thought i had.

I will be purchasing your head lice treatment oil but please
what can I do till it arrives, she is only 4 years old,
at school and hasn’t complained once yet I still feel terrible.

I look forward to hearing from you

Yours

Here is our reply:

Thanks for your message.

Right, big shout here! Stop beating yourself up
over this, things are going to get better very quickly
and you have done nothing terrible so far. Yes a
red sore scalp is distressing but she will be fine
and unharmed. It is a good thing that you decide
very quickly that this way of treating wasn’t the
right way for your family so you have cast it aside
after only a few days, some folks take week,
months before re-considering there options so
don’t be harsh on yourself.

Here is what you can do tomorrow……..nothing.

Stop. Don’t do anything for a day and just chill out and relax.
Head lice are yucky but harmless, they don’t need to be
attacked instantly. Wait to get your order or…..
you can do this tomorrow if you just can’t wait.

Forget about killing head lice, just think–REMOVE

If you have a fine comb and can locate some oil
like sweet almond, from a health food store, or
even sunflower from a food store you can do a lot
of good right now by removing any larger lice that
may be in the hair.

Don’t use Vaseline, kerosene or mineral oils
they are awful to wash out and dangerous as
they can catch fire!

Just check before you start that the oil you have
will dissolve in your regular family shampoo by
rubbing bit of the oil on your fingers and then
washing with the shampoo.

Work a small amount of the oil into the roots of
the hair while it is dry and then comb gently with
the finest comb you can find.

You will get out an amazing mixture of rubbish
including big head lice and even some eggs.

10-15 minutes combing is fine. Just so long as you
round up all the big fat adult lice.

These are laying between 6 and 8 eggs, per day,
and are creating tomorrow’s lice. These will come
out very easily if you have them stuck in slippery oil.

Shampoo out the excess oil and chill out for a
couple of days then repeat the process.

You are harmlessly removing lice that can and
will lay down more lice eggs so you have already started
to eradicate this population.

When you get your order switch to the NITMIX Wet
Combing Aid and this will make the head lice even
easier to get out.

Don’t be fooled by how simple and gently this is; it works!
